About Us

Ridgefield Library, 472 Main Street, Ridgefield, CT
Now in its eighth consecutive year, the Ridgefield Writers Conference again pioneers the writers conference and event field with its innovative format and breakout sessions, aimed at inspiring writers in varied genres to grow their skills and talents.

The two-day Ridgefield Writers Conference is the only short writers conference patterned after the workshop style used in the residency portion of MFA programs in creative writing. This model provides constructive, insightful feedback in a way that empowers writers to keep using the knowledge and skills they gain during the conference to go on to create their best work.

The Ridgefield Writers Conference is held in historic downtown Ridgefield, Connecticut, at the Ridgefield Library, whose blend of traditional and modern architectural styles embodies the same melding of craft and art as the event. The conference accomplishes this through immersive morning and afternoon workshops with accomplished faculty authors dedicated to the craft and art of writing. Our faculty are also committed to inspiring both emerging and established writers, whether new to the conference or returnees, to bring their writing, along with their vision for the work, to a new level.

The Ridgefield Writers Conference is co-founded by Adele Annesi, Chris Belden and Rebecca Dimyan. The event is co-sponsored by Word for Words, LLC, and the Ridgefield Library and hosted by the Ridgefield Library.
