Fairfield University's Low-Residency MFA in Creative Writing

Fairfield University's two-year low residency MFA in Creative Writing Program involves exciting, bi-annual 10-day residency periods at inspirational Enders Island, off the coast of Mystic, Connecticut. Each residency brings together a uniquely talented group of faculty, guest writers, students, editors, and agents. During the residency, faculty and students work, eat, learn, and have fun together. With 360 degree views of Fisher's Sound to inspire you, fellow students and faculty talk about and practice the basics and subtleties of writing and craft.

Westport Writers' Workshop

Now with offerings in Ridgefield and Avon, the Westport Writers' Workshop offers a wide variety of writing workshops that encourage, inspire and spark the writer's imagination.

Emerging and established writers will find a full complement of workshops to choose from throughout the year where they can gain constructive feedback, learn new techniques and hone their skills for among others who share a passion for the art and craft of writing.

Amherst Artists & Writers

Amherst Artists & Writers (AWA) is an international community of workshops dedicated to the idea that a writer is someone who writes. The AWA method, described in Writing Alone & With Others, by Pat Schneider, affirms that every writer deserves a safe environment in which to experiment, learn and develop craft.

AWA workshops are generative, intended to help emerging and established writers create prose. Writers then share their work in a supportive environment where each voice is valued.

The Westchester Review

The Westchester Review is published annually. The editors welcome previously unpublished, poems, stories, and essays by established and emerging writers currently or previously living, working or studying in New York's Westchester County area. We accept up to five poems or two prose pieces per author. Submissions are read year round. For more information on the publication and on submissions, visit The Westchester Review.
